Life is too short to wake up with regrets....

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat
you right.  Forget about the one's who don't.  Believe everything
happens for a reason.  If you get a second chance, grab it with both
hands. If it changes your life, let it.  Nobody said life would be easy,
they just promised it would be worth it.

A Boy Singing to his little
sister.....
You
are My Sunshine, My only Sunshine' (Be prepared to get watery eyes!)

Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another baby was on the
way, she did what she could to help her 3-year-old son, Michael, prepare
for a new sibling. They found out that the new baby was going be a girl,
and day after day, night after night, Michael sang to his sister in
mommy's tummy.

He was building a bond of love with his little sister before he even met
her.The pregnancy progressed normally for Karen, an active member of the
Panther Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown , Tennessee. In time,
the labor pains came. Soon it was every five minutes, every three, every
minute. But serious complications arose during delivery and Karen found
herself in hours of labor.

Would a C-section be required? Finally, after a long struggle, Michael's
little sister was born. But she was in very serious condition. With a
siren howling in the night, the ambulance rushed the infant to the
neonatal intensive care unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville , Tennessee
The days inched by. The little girl got worse. The pediatrician had to
tell the parents there is very little hope. Be prepared for the worst.

Karen and her husband contacted a local cemetery about a burial plot. They
had fixed up a special room in their house for their new baby but now they
found themselves having to plan for a funeral. Michael however, kept
begging his parents to let him see his sister. I want to sing to her, he
kept saying. Week two in intensive care looked as if a funeral would come
before the week was over. Michael kept nagging about singing to his
sister, but kids are never allowed in Intensive Care. Karen decided to
take Michael whether they liked it or not. If he didn't see his sister
right then, he may never see her alive.  She dressed him in an oversized
scrub suit and marched him into ICU.  He looked like a walking laundry
basket.

The head nurse recognized him as a child and bellowed, 'Get that
kid out of here now. No children are allowed!'  The mother rose up strong
in Karen, and the usually mild-mannered lady glared steel-eyed right into
the head nurse's face, her lips a firm line.

'He is not leaving until he sings to his sister' she stated. Then Karen
towed Michael to his sister's bedside. He gazed at the tiny infant losing
the battle to live. After a moment, he began to sing. In the pure-hearted
voice of a 3-year-old, Michael sang:

'You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are
gray.' Instantly the baby girl seemed to respond. The pulse rate began to
calm down and become steady.

'Keep on singing, Michael,' encouraged Karen with tears in her eyes.

'You never know, dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine
away.' As Michael sang to his sister, the baby's ragged, strained
breathing became as smooth as a kitten's purr 'Keep on singing,
sweetheart.'
'The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms'

Michael's little sister began to relax as rest, healing rest, seemed to
sweep over her. 'Keep on singing, Michael.'
Tears had now conquered the face of the bossy head nurse.

Karen glowed.

'You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. Please don't take my sunshine away.'

The next day...the very next day. the little girl was well enough to go home.

Woman's Day Magazine called it The Miracle of a Brother's Song.

The medical staff just called it a miracle.

Karen called it a miracle of God's love.

NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE.
LOVE IS SO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL.

Life is good.

Have a Wonderful Day!

In God We Trust!

'The evidence of God's presence far
outweighs that of His absence.'

The Color of my heart?

You have the heart of gold. Your the sweet girl next door everyone loves to love. You are open to all different people and love them all the same. However when you fall in love you always stick with that one person. You will be very happy in love because your so forgiving and caring.

Goodbye Friend

Goodbye friend - ( Some words that hopefully help me get through the loss of friends.)

The loss of a friend is like that of a limb. Time may heal the anguish of the wound, but the loss cannot be repaired. - Robert Southey

You never leave someone behind, you take a part of them with you and leave a part of yourself behind.

I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.
-- Gilda Radner

A Laugh, A Cry, A Prayer, A song
Good-bye, my friends.
I say with a sigh
My pain and anguish
Uncovered emotions

Our Pasts Diminish
Into the race of time.
But Our Futures are Bright
Yes, I must be Strong

But How do you say farewell
To a Lifelong Friend?

12 Days

12 days...
Every emotion & feeling has been magnified in 12 days...
12 days of wondering where it all went wrong...
12 days of attacking the root of the problem...
12 days of thinking of the solution...
12 days of holding in a truth I choose not to disclose...
12 days and still going on...

You know the kind girl now know the bitch in her

You're smirking because you think you won. I'm laughing because I know you haven't. Continue the game, girl. Karma's got my back. ;)

There is a time when the words revenge is sweet actually make sense... and One day for me that revenge is going to be very very sweet... watch out because the kind girl has gone into hiding and left behind the bitch.

Life is a B****

Yes I don't swear much but today all i have done is swear. I am pissed and pissed bad... I am usually a calm person but right now there is so much anger in me I don't know what to do. I thought friends were supposed to listen and advise and when you fought you hugged and made up or helped in that process but when you have friends like mine... who needs enemies.

If I am guilty of something then I will admit to that guilt but when I get blamed for something that i didn't do that really pisses me off. Oh and when I am accused of running away when i genuinely am not then yeah that kinda pisses me off too. As for contradictory statements... I am ready to admit I am a lay person who speaks Lay English and doesn't understand double edged sentences.

So people out there... when your friend makes a mistake... even if they have lied about something or given out your secret... make sure that you are not telling half truths either. Make sure you can be genuinely truthful before you accuse your friend.

Reason, Season or Lifetime?

Reason, Season or Lifetime?
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.
In my life people have come for a reason. I value the time they gave me and the advice they offered. Thank you to all of you who came to life for a REASON. :)

Then people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.
To the season people. You came for a season. But when the joy of summer left, you left too leaving behind the harsh Autumn. You gave me an opportunity to grow learn and share. Thank you for making laugh and bringing joy into my life. :)

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
For the people who are in my life now and will remain there God Willing. Thank you for being my support when I needed it. Thank you for still being there even when I made the biggest mistake. I pray that it stays that way till the day I leave this earth. :)

Making a paper airplane

The dynamics of making a paper airplane have gone beyond me. Working with kids esp boys is not easy when you don't know what makes them tick. So today a lil boy come to me with a huge and i mean huge piece of paper (bigger then A3). "Please make me a plane that will fly?" and here i was thinking to myself i can just about make an A4 airplane that flies how am i going to manage this one. So i did my usual folding and gave it to the child. but did it fly? No the silly thing just landed flat on its nose. "But it doesn't fly?" the child asked. And here i was thinking to myself i don't know how to make one that flies. So i tried again and still it didn't fly. :( So now i am stuck with finding out how to make such a big air plane that will fly.
If you a boy reading this and have tips or idea's they are most welcome. Please :D

Where does valentines originate from?

Where does Valentines originate from? Well I can tell you its from India from the Gujratis, When the Guju men upset their wives , the women beat their husbands up with a Velan (rolling pin) & so everytime the men made the women upset, she would say to him its 'VELAN TIME'... and started beating up the husband, so now they have changed the name to Valentines all over the world. :D

birthday Cards

So this year I have decided to draw my own pictures on birthday cards... although I am not an artist i can only try. So if you get a rubbish card this year... sowi :) my inner artist is awakening... Blame Joanna... she got me into crayons... :P Besides she gets the first card so i guess thats ironic...
So for her card I decided to draw purple ladybirds. Pics will follow soon :) I know ladybirds are red but since her fave color is purple i made her purple then went loud and did the spots florescent orange... hehehe.... I like it... It looks gorgeous... :D I hope she likes it now...
So why do I do my own birthday cards when I can get some really lovely cheap ones from the stores... Well I like adding a personal touch to things. and Making Birthday cards is crafty and I love doing crafty stuff... I took a whole year out just to learn craft stuff... (rambling  and deviating here) so back to cards... yeah making them gives them a personal touch and and I can write the persons name so its like theirs and no one else's... and i like mixing and matching colors. and most of all i find it relaxing...

So lets see how this goes and how many cards i actually do draw on. :)
